Spotify: Get into the Groove for our 2018-19 Season

Drum roll, please! Our 2018-19 season is starting soon, and we wanted to share how we've been ramping up for a season full of incredible music — from Broadway tunes to jazz, hip-hop, Latin, pop and rhythm and blues, there's something exciting in store for every style of music-lover. To get in the groove for the new season, we're excited to introduce the new Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Spotify account! Below is a quick breakdown of what you'll find there — check it out, then make your plans to join us this season and experience these songs live.

Want a little taste of everything?
Check out our 2018-19 Season Playlist, which features songs from the Broadway casts of musicals we will produce this year, and get a taste of the tunes that inspired our world premiere production of Cincinnati King, a new musical about the legacy of Cincinnati's own King Records studio.

Excited about King Records?
Get in the mood for the world premiere production of Cincinnati King by revisiting King Records rhythm and blues classics! This playlist — curated by Music Director Richard Huntley — served as inspiration for the new musical that will have its first performances on our stage starting Nov. 3, 2018.

Love Tony Award-winning musicals?
Get pumped up for our production of In the Heights by listening to the original Broadway cast recording! The show (written by Hamilton superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda) includes music with hip-hop, Latin, pop and R&B flavors, and will run at the Playhouse from Jan. 19 through Feb. 17, 2019.

Can't wait to join the Peanuts gang?
Listen to the original Broadway cast recording of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown to get ready for our April production, which will feature a new musical arrangement with the cast playing their own instruments onstage!
