Theatres and special event spaces in the Playhouse are available to rent for a variety of performances, receptions, and meetings. Theatre rentals include the new Moe and Jack’s Place – The Rouse Theatre, with a capacity of up to 537, and the 172-seat historic Rosenthal Shelterhouse Theatre. Our special event spaces can accommodate anything from small intimate receptions to large events of up to 400. Explore the options below to see what we offer here at the Playhouse.
We are currently booking events through June 2025. We will begin booking events for July 2025 through June 2026 in April 2025.
Special event start times will be determined in consultation with venue management. If you are renting one of our theatres for a ticketed performance, start times are 7:30 p.m. (Tuesday - Saturday) and 2 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday).
Theatre rental rates include use of the space from 8 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. on the event day for load-in, technical work, rehearsal, up to a 2 ½ hour event, and load-out; production manager; house managers and house assistants; and volunteer ushers. Stagehand labor and equipment rental costs are additional and can be estimated only with detailed production information in writing.
