The Power of Live Theatre
Our Touring Company delivers live, professional theatre to your school with relevant and age-appropriate productions! Each play includes a Q&A session with the cast, an educator's guide and FREE pre- and/or post-show workshops through the Class Act! Program.
Members of our education staff develop custom, supplemental educator's guides for in-classroom use in conjunction with the Playhouse's outreach tours and school matinees.
Learn MoreA lifelong love of theatre often starts with a school bus ride to see a student matinee performance at the Playhouse. These matinees are the same professional productions staged for evening and weekend audiences, and include a Q&A session with the cast, an educator's guide and FREE pre- and/or post-show workshops through the Class Act! Program.
We work with you to create longer residencies that use drama to explore specific areas of your curriculum, from literature, history and science to topical issues, such as conflict resolution or teamwork. Our arts educators provide support for enrichment activities, drama elective classes and theatre integration workshops for teacher development.
Our Expanded School Workshops deepen learning in core subjects through theatre. Playhouse teaching artists offer experiential, public speaking, dramatic interpretation and enrichment day workshops held inside the classroom. The workshops underscore standards in the common core and provide a differentiated learning experience for your students.
