When we can’t choose what happens to us, who do we decide to be? Perseus, the demigod son of Zeus and the imprisoned Princess Danaë, grows up in exile under the shadow of a scheming king. To protect his mother, he accepts an impossible quest — to find and bring back the head of the monstrous Medusa. What follows is a journey of courage, cunning and love that takes Perseus from the edge of the world and back home again. In this world premiere adaptation of the first Greek hero myth, two storytellers conjure the tale that has enchanted children and adults for over 3,000 years.
Recommended for First Grade and up.
Performances are available in the morning, afternoon and evenings (for community partners). Each show runs approximately 45 to 60 minutes and is followed by a Q&A session with the cast, if time allows. Because of the informal nature of most performance spaces and the intimacy of live theatre, we prefer to have audiences no greater than 400. A second performance will be required if the desired number of attendees exceeds 400 students. If the audience size is greater than can fit into two performances, we can potentially accommodate three performances in a day in some circumstances.
Are you a community center or organization that would like to book an Off the Hill performance at your venue on a weekend? Let us know. Registration for 2026-27 is open!
Community partners are defined as any organization that is not a school, (e.g. libraries, community centers, retirement communities, centers for adults with disabilities, and more!)
