Each year, the Playhouse is proud to partner with many of the region's community arts centers and other community venues to bring three plays "off the hill" to families throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.

 

THE LITTLE PRINCE

Beloved by readers the world over, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s enchanting story comes to life! A world-weary aviator crash-lands in the Sahara Desert, where he encounters an odd young boy who calls himself the Little Prince. The boy tells of his travels throughout the galaxy where he’s collected profound pearls of wisdom about human nature, love and the search for meaning. This charming and imaginative fairy tale will capture your heart, no matter your age.

Recommended for grades one and up.
Runtime: 60 minutes.

Stellaluna

Mother Bat loves her baby, Stellaluna, with all her heart. But when an owl knocks Stellaluna out of her nest one night, she finds herself in Mama Bird’s nest with all her baby birds. Stellaluna adopts the ways of her newfound family, but when she has an opportunity to show them what life is like as a bat, they’re reluctant to do so. This popular children’s story lifts up the powers of friendship and understanding.

Recommended for pre-k and up.

    Each community arts center or venue coordinates the ticket sales for its Off the Hill performances. Visit the page for the show you are interested in above for information and links to reserve tickets.
  • How much do Off the Hill tickets cost?
    Tickets for Off the Hill — whether the show is virtual or in person — are free. Registration is required.
  • What are the recommended ages for each performance?
    Recommended ages, as well as additional information about the plays, can be found on the individual production page for your show.
  • How long does each show last?
    Each show is between approximately 45 and 60 minutes long.
  • May I take pictures of the show?
