ARTISTIC/PRODUCTION


ASSISTANT CHARGE SCENIC ARTIST

The Assistant Scenic Artist is expected to assist the Charge Scenic Artist (CSA) in the safe and timely planning, execution and completion of all paint and surface treatments of all scenic elements. This includes, but is not limited to, sculpting, drop sizing and painting, texture application, spray techniques, aging and distressing, furniture finishing, and the ability to create the illusion of reality utilizing theatrical techniques.

This is a full-time, seasonal position. Benefits include medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

Over-hire Backstage Crew

Playhouse in the Park seeks over-hire backstage crew in multiple departments to be responsible for running various technical elements of shows during performances. Physical locations for this job will include the new, state-of-the-art Mainstage Theatre Moe and Jack’s Place – The Rouse Theatre and the recently renovated Rosenthal Shelterhouse Theater, and the accompanying backstage and support areas. These positions report directly to the Production Stage Manager and Stage Management Staff.

These are temporary positions that will span 4-8 weeks depending on the production. These positions will require work outside normal business hours, including, but not limited to, evenings and weekends.

EDUCATION


After School Classes Teaching Artist

The Teaching Artist is responsible for check-in and check-out, implementing curriculum, teaching participants, communicating with partners onsite at the schools, and collaborating with Playhouse Education Staff and other professional artists. They are responsible for following lesson plans and maintaining a positive and exciting classroom environment.

This position is a part-time, temporary, seasonal position with an hourly rate of $35. The hours will be based on individual classes and the needs of the school/partner. Afterschool Classes take place in Fall, Winter, and Spring and are typically eight sessions that start between 2:00 and 3:30 and last 30 – 90 minutes. This position typically teaches 1-5 hours per week when classes are in session. This position requires travel to school and community center venues, including locations throughout the tri-state area. After School Teaching Artist will be paid for teaching time and 30 minutes total of travel/set up time per day.

IN-SCHOOL WORKSHOPS TEACHING ARTIST

The In-School Workshop Teaching Artist is responsible for teaching participants using theatre and arts integration techniques, implementing curriculum, communicating with teachers and partners onsite at the schools, and collaborating with Playhouse Education Staff and other professional artists. They are responsible for following lesson plans and maintaining a positive and exciting classroom environment.

This is a temporary, occasional position with an hourly rate of $25-$35. This position typically teaches between 5 and 30 hours per week on assigned weeks. School Workshops Teaching Artists will be paid for teaching time and 30 minutes total of entrance and exit time per day. Hours and weeks will be based on individual classes and the needs of the school.

This position requires travel to school locations throughout the tri-state area. Qualified candidates must be flexible and able to take School Workshop assignments in a variety of locations, therefore, candidates must possess reliable transportation.

MARKETING


Marketing Intern

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park seeks a Marketing Intern to assist with various tasks in the marketing and communications department and reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with the Digital Marketing Associate and Content Marketing Associate.

The internship is a part-time, temporary position during the fall semester of 2025 (August – December), with an hourly rate of $15.00/hour.  Works 12-15 hours per week within normal business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday).
