Immersive Experiences. Inspired Learning.

At the Playhouse, we believe everyone has a voice. Our acting classes are designed to build confidence, strengthen communication skills and develop a sense of ensemble and community. Programs for young people ages 3 to 14 focus on individual and collective skill development in a fun and supportive environment. Adult workshops offer an opportunity for audiences to enhance their experience with select productions.

Our Philosophy

Pre-Kindergarten
Our 30-minute classes for children ages 3 and 4 focus on social and artistic development through improvisation, theatre games and a visual art component. We teach students how to band together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create complex tales and characters. Stories will be shared with families on the final day of class.

Kindergarten Through Second Grade
Our 45-minute classes for young performers in kindergarten through second grade focus on social and artistic development through creative dramatics, improvisation and theatre games. We teach students how to band together as an ensemble and use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create complex tales and characters. Stories will be shared with families on the final day of class.

Third Through Eighth Grades
Our 55-minute classes for young performers in third through eighth grades focus on developing the craft and technique of acting, as well as specialty subjects including voice, movement, improvisation, stage combat and makeup through fun exploration and ensemble building. We value process over product as young actors develop their skills and confidence. Class work will be shared with families on the final day of class.
