Matching gifts are an easy way to make your investment in the Playhouse even greater, and the effect can be substantial. Imagine the powerful impact you can have on our incredible live theatre by doubling your gift! In addition, donors who support the Playhouse with matching gifts receive the benefits and recognition for the full amount of support.
What are Corporate Matching Gifts?
Corporate Matching Gift programs are charitable giving programs in which a company matches the donations made by its employees to eligible nonprofits — including Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park! In addition, gifts from spouses and retirees may be eligible to be matched. More than 17,000 companies have a matching gift program — Does yours?
For example, GE Foundation will match current employee donations 1:1 (up to $25,000), and part-time, full-time and retired employees are all eligible to apply for a matching gift too. Retirees from Johnson & Johnson are eligible for 1:1 matches, while current employees are eligible for a 2:1 match (up to a $20,000 company contribution) — that's triple the impact!
