Steve is thrilled to be returning to Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park having served as Music Director for previous productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Jane Eyre and Murder for Two. He is a member of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music’s (CCM) musical theatre faculty and has worked locally with Ensemble Theatre, The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati, the Carnegie, Cincinnati Landmark Productions, Commonwealth Artists Student Theatre, Ovation Theatre, Clear Stage, Hugo West Theatricals, Performance Gallery, ArtReach and Northern Kentucky University. He has received multiple acclaims and League of Cincinnati Theatres awards, including a 2010 Season MVP Award. Steve has composed numerous works for a variety of media including 10 feature film scores and 20 internationally produced musicals for young audiences. Steve has toured the U.S. and Africa with productions of Barnum, Jersey Boys and Bubbling Brown Sugar. He was featured as pianist and session producer on the album Ella Jenkins and a Union of Friends Pulling Together which received a Grammy nomination for “Best Children’s Album.” When not doing shows, Steve is a keyboardist and vocalist in several local bands including the Clyde Brown Band, the Ultrasonics, Aja: A Tribute to Steely Dan and Just Strange Brothers. He is a graduate of the DePaul University School of Music and UC-CCM.
