Art Will Endure

While our stages were closed for our 2020-21 season, we commissioned 10 local playwrights to write monologues on the theme of hope. Each of these monologues was performed by a local actor and shared on our Facebook and Instagram accounts, as well as on this page. Scroll down for more detailed artist information and to watch the complete series.

Maggie is honored to help Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park spread such a beautiful message of hope during these dark times. An Oklahoma native, she attended William Jewell College in Kansas City, Oxford University and the Birmingham School of Acting in the U.K. She’s performed with the Human Race Theatre Company, Kentucky Shakespeare, Know Theatre of Cincinnati and StageOne, and she has had the joy of being an ensemble member at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for nine seasons. Some of her favorite memories on stage have been playing Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, June in the rolling world premiere of Alabaster, and Jo March in Little Women. In addition to being a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association, she serves as Education Director at Know Theatre of Cincinnati, the PROJECT38 Coordinator at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and writes epic plays about epic women. She sends love to her talented husband Justin, her supporting family and her three adorable fur babies. See what she’s up to these days at www.maggielourader.com!
