Mr. Sharon is thrilled to return to the Playhouse, having appeared here in Avenue X in 2001. International and New York credits include Leontes in The Winter’s Tale (GBS Theatre, London), El Gallo in the historic off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, and The Most Happy Fella at New York City Opera, Lincoln Center. Regional credits include title roles in Macbeth (Los Angeles Theatre Center), Julius Caesar (Folger Theatre), Pericles (Connecticut Repertory Theatre) and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (Bristol Riverside), as well as Emile DeBecque in South Pacific (Delaware Theatre Company), Vronsky in Anna Karenina (Portland Center Stage), Starbuck in The Rainmaker (People's Light), Mr. Knightley in Jane Austin's Emma (Pioneer Theatre Company), and Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music (Fulton Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre; Broadway World and Carbonell Award nominations). Mr. Sharon’s credits also include the Shakespeare Theatre Company (Helen Hayes Award nomination), Actor's Theatre of Louisville, Long Wharf, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Goodspeed Opera House, and multiple seasons at the Oregon, Utah and Alabama Shakespeare Festivals. Film and TV credits include Identical, According to Jim, Unforgettable and One Life to Live. Mr. Sharon received his training at the University of Southern California and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London.
