Costume Design

Students will about what a costume designer does, and they’ll learn to use color, texture, silhouette and proportion to design costumes. Using materials found at home, they’ll learn to create unique character costumes like a superhero, robot, dragonfly and more.

Mask Making

Engage your students in a four-day workshop on the creative art of mask making. They will learn how to make five different styles of masks: animals, Mardi Gras, superhero, robot, and a duck made from a hat!

Puppets come in many styles and colors, and the ones in this class are no different! Students will spend five sessions creating a variety of puppets from household and crafting materials. Shadow puppets, finger puppets, handkerchief puppets, sock puppets and marionettes will all be explored in this interactive, creative class.

In this five-session workshop, students will explore the basic tools of the voice that every performer needs for healthy vocal production. Focusing on contemporary musical theatre repertoire, students will learn skills in Breath and Enunciation, among others, and will cover the vocal riffs and runs popular in this style of musical theatre.

If given a one-word prompt, what would you create? In this five-session class, students will be given daily prompts used to explore thoughts, sounds, movement and words, ultimately creating a short devised theatre piece. Students will use their imagination to transform themselves into other objects based on that initial word.
