Friday Happy Hours
6 - 7:30 p.m.
Mix and mingle at happy hour prior to all Marx Theatre Friday performances. With free appetizers compliments of Karlo's Bistro at the Playhouse, happy hour drink prices at the bar, discounted food specials and live music until show-time, this is the place to spend your Friday night.
Happy Hour Music Line-up for Love Song
October 24 with Mae Klingler - Tap your feet along with local sweetheart (and singer-songwriter) Mae who will fill the plaza with her sweet sounds and lilting melodies.
October 31 with Steve Barone - Mr. Barone, who has shared the stage with the likes of B.B. King and Donna Summers, treats the Playhouse with his jazz guitar.
November 7 with The Faux Frenchmen - Sophisticated swing stylings of “gypsy jazz”.
November 14 with Phil DeGreg & Joe Lukasik - A combination of mainstream jazz standards and Brazilian choro music- it’s Brazil’s equivalent of American ragtime!
November 21 with Patrick Kelly - Jazz pianist Pat Kelly, a composer, arranger and band leader, will play standards, Latin and jazz tunes.
Playhouse Perspectives
Intensify your theatre experience by attending Playhouse Perspectives, our free pre-show lecture series featuring scholars, panelists and theatre artists who examine issues related to the performance. You don't need a ticket to the performance to attend these discussions (but we think you'll want one). Playhouse Perspectives is made possible by a gift from Roderick and Barbara Barr.

Playhouse and Kenzie’s Closet Dress Drive: Nov. 1 - Dec. 31, 2008
In the spirit of holiday giving and to honor the song “Always a Bridesmaid” in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will collect gently used prom and bridesmaid dresses from November 1 to December 31st for Kenzie’s Closet. This will help us promote the show and the used dresses go to girls who cannot afford to buy their own dress for prom.
