You know who you are. You’re the one who makes Shakespeare jokes to patchy laughter. You’re often described as “dramatic.” (And you roll your eyes every time.) You’re the one who should be in the Playhouse’s next acting class.
Three times a year, the Playhouse offers four to seven-week acting classes for both kids and adults. Most classes offer basic instruction in acting, improvisation, scene and monologue study, musical theatre and theatre games as well as classes in acting for TV and film. Classes are taught by local theatre professionals. The Playhouse offers limited scholarships to this program.
In the past, the Playhouse has offered all its classes at its Eden Park facility. This year, the Playhouse will also offer classes at four additional locations: Baker Hunt Arts and Culture Center (620 Greenup Street, Covington) Clifton Cultural Arts Center (3711 Clifton Avenue), The Madisonville Art Center (5021 Whetsel Avenue) and the Mayerson JCC (8485 Ridge Road, Amberley).
